Traveling Around The U.S. - With Books!

We're all living through an unprecedented time in history. Millions of kids in the United States are doing school at home in 2020. Homeschool registrations have surged, and kids who are still enrolled in public or private schools are attending online school at home.

It gets boring to stay at home, doesn't it? It may sound cheesy, but it's true: books can transport us to other places. Books have a power that tv shows and computer games do not. We enter other people's minds with books, and we can imagine ourselves having all sorts of exciting adventures.

I've put together a sample of books about travel around the U.S. They're not travel books, they are books about life in America throughout different time periods.

Enjoy these books as read alouds, or your students can curl up in a book nook to enjoy a good story.

My next blog installment will be about traveling the world with books.
